The Stomacher® 3500 Series provides a versatile range of tools for large volume blending and extraction where all washing solution or solvent needs to be retained for analysis. This heavy duty range of machines are built to industrial standards and often used in applications for large volume food microbiology, forensic residue analysis and testing of waterborne parasites.
The Stomacher 3500 is used where large volume blending is required. The blending of powders with diluents and the microbiological testing of complete recipe dishes are two popular applications.
The Stomacher 3500 Biowasher was originally designed to process the large volume of filter fibres derived from cartridge filters used in testing water for parasites. The Stomacher® method is highly referenced for this technique. The Biowasher is the Stomacher of choice for the processing of large, fibrous samples.
The Stomacher 3500 Bioreactor Thermo is used in the pork industry to prepare samples for the detection of Trichinella. The machine has a heater element inside the door and the samples of
pork meat are digested inside the bag with enzyme and HCI acid. The resultant slurry is sieved and examined under microscopy for the presence of the Trichinella parasite.
