There are no probes or blades to cause cross contamination or sample loss, which also means there are no parts to clean between runs. The sample tubes are kept closed and self-contained during homogenization.
The instrument uses little power due to the unique, patented design, so there is very little heat build up in the instrument or inside the sample tubes.
