Mini-Beadbeater Vial Racks available

  • 2.0 ml Vial Racks, polypropylene (pack of 5)
  • 7 ml Vial Rack, Polycarbonate
  • 1.5 & 2 ml Vial Rack, Solid Aluminum

2.0 ml Vial Rack
A pack of five polypropylene microvial vial racks. The rack has a standard microplate footprint and has the capacity to hold forty-five 1.5 ml or 2.0 ml microvials on one side or thirty-two 0.5 ml microvials on the other side. One of these racks comes standard with the MiniBeadBeater-96.

7 ml Vial Rack
Polycarbonate vial rack with a microplate footprint designed to hold twelve 7 ml screw-cap vials (Cat No. 3205). Used for extraction and cell disruption of larger sample volumes which cannot be accommodated in 2 ml microvials.

Vial Rack, Solid Aluminum
Forty-eight place, anodized, solid aluminum vial rack for both 1.5 and 2.0ml microvials. This rack, machined out of solid aluminum, has a standard microplate footprint. Close contact-tolerances with the vials provide heat transfer far superior to methods based on chilled air or plastic cooling blocks. The holder is pre-chilled in a refrigerator or freezer. Recommended for the MiniBeadbeater-96 (and other competitive brands of beadbeater designed for deep well microplates) where native protein or organelle isolation requires aggressive cooling during cell disruption. In general, cooling is not needed for DNA and RNA isolation when nucleic acid isolation media is present in the vials during beadbeating. In another application, 'dry' grinding of fresh tissue by the cryopulverization technique is possible with sample, beads, vial and vial holder chilled to liquid nitrogen temperatures.
