Beads are the components that strike and grind your samples resulting in tissue homogenization and cell lysis. We provide a variety of beads suitable for a wide array of samples. The general rule of thumb is to choose larger, denser beads for tougher samples.
Next Advance also offers some beads which are cleaned of RNase and tested to be RNase-free for better results in RNA extractions.
Beads are also available in sample packs of multiple bead types and in bead lysis kits with pre-filled tubes.
Untreated beads are sold by the pound (0.45 kg) unless noted and are offered in the following materials and sizes:
