The Q1375 offers the ability to process industrial-scale sample volumes in individual batches or flow-through applications. This model includes a 1-inch diameter, 10-inch long probe and a booster which increases the amplitude of the probe to enable larger volumes to be processed. The Q1375 is powerful, durable and customizable.
The Q1375 Sonicator offers the ability to program processing times and intensity settings. Processing time can be set from 1 second to 10 hours. Pulsing settings reduce the amount of heat generated by sonication when processing temperature sensitive samples.
The Q1375 may be purchased with a standard 1” diameter, 10” long probe and booster or with a high-volume water jacketed flow cell. The unit may also be purchased without a probe and booster, but the unit will not function without a probe and booster.
Please note: This unit is only available in 220V line voltage. The Q1375 requires a fused, single phase 3-terminal grounding electrical outlet capable of supplying 50/60 Hz at 220 volts or 240 volts. There is a 4 week lead time on Q1375 Sonicator units.

Does the Q1375 have any mechanism that would allow it to be controlled remotely, such as by computer?
I saw that other Sonicator units have an option for expedited processing that reduces the lead time to 5 days for a $150 fee. Does this apply to the Q1375?
No, you cannot get a 5-day lead time for a Q1375 Sonicator. Technically there is an option to pay the $150 expedited processing fee and have the lead time reduced from 4 weeks to 2-3 weeks, but we don't find that this is a worthwhile option so we don't bother advertising it. If 3 weeks vs. 4 weeks would make a difference to you and you would like to expedite your Q1375 order, give us a call or send us an email and we'll arrange it for you.
If I want a different probe than the standard 1" probe and buy the Q1375 without a probe and booster, do I then need to purchase a booster in addition to whatever probe I want?
Yes. A 3:1 gain booster is required for use of the Q1375. If you do not purchase a set (probe + booster or flocell + booster) then you will need to buy the booster in addition to whatever probe you purchase.
I have a high-temperature application. What is the maximum temperature that I can operate the probe in?
The probe itself can withstand temperatures as high as 140°F / 60°C. Higher temperature applications can be accommodated, but they require a custom probe. Please contact us with the details of your application to see if a special probe can be designed for it.
What are the probes made of?
Titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V.
How viscous of a substance can a Sonicator homogenize?
A good rule of thumb is if you can’t pour it then you can’t sonicate it. Substances with approximately the viscosity of honey (around 4000 cps) are the most viscous substances that a Sonicator can effectively process.
Is the Q1375 UL listed or CSA approved?
Not explicitly, but all Sonicators are cTUVus certified. This certification combines the common UL and CSA standards for electronic equipment and is accepted as equivalent for most regulatory purposes.8790 Qsonica 2014-06-18
